First year students are required to live on campus, but succeeding years they will be given the option to attend as day students.
The program is designed to provide a holistic learning environment in a true Montessori style. Students will rotate through daily tasks designed to support independent living after completing the program as well as support the "hands-on" or lab portion of their education.
Students can opt to complete one of 3 Florida Agriculture based programs to graduate or complete their general education studies to support taking their GED.

Please reach us at pioneeryr.g@outlook.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
First, PYR is a nonprofit education charity. Therefore, all monies received will be part of the ranch and cannot be used for personal benefit or gain of any governing board member. Furthermore, no board member will receive a salary or hourly wage.
Second, as a private education facility, the ranch is not eligible for state or federal education funds which are established for public schools plus the ranch does not want to impede any public school, but to provide an additional educational resource to the community.
Third, since the ranch is established as a nonprofit charitable organization, the assets of the ranch must always remain part of a nonprofit corporation in perpetuity (therefore, no assets can be sold for profitable gain). Thereby, the ranch is seeking donations to purchase the capital assets (land and buildings plus construction). Donations are the only way the necessary capital assets can be acquired to ensure the cost to attend the school can be based on scholarship funds instead of private tuition rates. For example, one such boarding school has a basic full board rate over $50,000 per school year per student and a daily attendance rate over $20,000 per school year per day student). If PYR has to acquire loans to purchase land and construct the necessary buildings the cost of attendance would be too high for the average students in the community to cover the repayment costs of the loans.
Finally, after PYR has the necessary donations to purchase the land and construct the school it will be eligible for various grants to support the ongoing education opportunities. However, using quality business practices the school should be self-sustaining within 5 years only using small grants and donations to support general expansion costs and a benevolent fund for students in need.
Yes, all donations are appreciated!! All funds will be placed in the PYR's bank account, but those individuals or businesses who partner with PYR for $50,000. or more will have an engraved plaque placed on the front building and receive regular updates and VIP invitations to all events.
